The biggest change for the 2014 A5 is an upgrade in the output of the turbocharged 4-cylinder engine to 220 horsepower. Other changes are in the areas of enhancements to packages and standard-equipment lists and the inclusions of some items that were previously optional being made standard.
For 2013, the A5 and S5 receive a revised grille, bumper and headlight treatment as well as the addition of Audi Connect on models equipped with MMI and navigation. The S5 get a new supercharged 3.0-liter V6, while last year's 4.2-liter V8 migrates to the all-new RS 5.
The 2.0T model is introduced for 2010 and replaces the 3.2-liter V6 quattro with the manual transmission. The newest coupe drops the price of the manual quattro A5 by $4,700. Other enhancements for 2010 include LED tail lamps on Premium Plus and Prestige models, new wheel designs for the 2.0T Premium and improved navigation with SIRIUS Traffic.
Automotive history is filled with cars that are beautiful to behold, but not so nice to drive. The 2015 Audi A5 is a noteworthy exception, because this high-performance luxury coupe is just as thrilling to drivers as it is to oglers. The exterior and interior styling belong in a museum of fine art. Yet from behind the steering wheel, the A5 coupe and convertible are even better. Whether you're driving the 220-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder, the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 of the S5 with 333 horsepower, or the 4.2-liter V8 of the RS 5 with 450 horsepower, there's plenty of power in reserve. Ride, handling, braking, steering and over-the-road manners are everything you might expect, and Audi's quattro all-wheel drive (AWD) makes short work of inclement weather.
