"I bought this car in Nov 2006 (its a 2007 model). I've had to add a quart of oil in between oil changes since I bought it. I was told it was normal. I've had regular oil changes and maintained all my service records. Currently I have 123k miles on it. In the past year, I've had multi issues/mechanic repairs done. First was the motor to the power top $800. Next biggest issue was the fuel pump. I was told it be cost nearly 3k but later found out it was a oil sludge issue and only cost me 1500. Replaced several sensors, and now the thermostat has to be replaced. I've spent about $3500 in the last 6 months on various repairs. I will say, up until now, I've had no major mechanical problems. And I LOVE this car...I just wish I knew about the oil issues before I bought it. Apparently it was an issue with this year and make and has since been resolved."
"After purchasing a pre-certified Audi A4 with 19K miles on it, I had a very bad experience with it. every year it goes to mechanic shed twice or thrice besides regular maintenance schedule. In my experience audi do not focus on engine parts and its reliability. I took very good care of it by driving it politely and having comprehensive service. It is such a pain to me to own an AUDI without realizing it involves huge maintenance cost after exceeding mileage of 40K. If I had to count normal wear & tear, I believe every part of my car engine is happily eligible to be replaced with in 100k mileage range. That much reliability I get form my Audi. With that money I would own couple of new cars.
I would say my car spent more time in service station than on road."
"Back in August of 2015 my grandfather financed for me, my very first car. we received from a private seller and the 2005 audi a4 was in seemingly PERFECT condition. no scratches, dents, only 65,000 m , clean inside, the perfect deal right?? NO. at first the car was flawless and does have its pros. but then one by one things went wrong. over the course of a year these problems have occurred: The pass.seat is stuck laid back and wont move, the rear pass window broke, the car leaked and flooded , transmission problems, it over heated, jumped back and forth when accelerating from a stop, it didn't start in the morning, it had problems with the A/C AND defrost over 4 different times. the cv joint on the drivers side failed and as of the present the cv joint AXLE Came undone and the car no longer moves, It had a Freon, coolant and oil leak, pieces here and there began to come apart. I.e: Grill parts, the audi symbol on the engine, pieces of the cabin such as plastic coverings and a broken glove box. this car is nothing but a mess. I took care of the car as best as I could but unless you have a REALLY good mechanic, Id think about getting a different convertible."
Cons: "no quatro, it has a dent in the rear driver door"

"the quality and comfort of this car is great. this car is a joy truly to drive. it has a dependable quality motor and great safety features. I loved taking trips I the car. I'd say the bose speakers in the car is my favorite feature and the turbo engine is nice as well. the only thing I am not to thrilled about is the price to repair the car, but that's normal for audi cars."
Pros: "Very fun and easy to drive. Has good handling."
Cons: "Car lags for a sec when accelerating from a stop."

"I bought the car when it had 70,000 on it. I love it even more everyday that I have it. Now I'm at 77,000 miles and the car runs great. Maintenance is very affordable compared to other competing german cars! Its better to use 91 octane for this car. Using any lower grade gasoline will decrease the cars overall performance, and the car will waste more gas! On reliability, I give the car 8-10 because I had to replace an axel, thankfully they make aftermarket axels for this car, so I saved a lot of money. Other than that, the car is amazing! Would recommend this car to buyers. If you want a luxury german car, go with an Audi because they are more affordable to maintain than competing german cars!"
Pros: "Stylish, hugs the road, maneuvers very well"
Cons: "tends to leak oil"

"The Audi A4 Quatro is a joy to drive, both on the highway and in the city. It fearlessly hugs the road at higher speeds, giving the driver a complete sense of control and safety. The driver's seat is totally adjustable for a form fit to your body. The high end sound system makes for enjoyable listening for CDs and the radio. The body style is classy and impressive. It's a very solidly built car."
