I own this car - My approximate mileage is 150,000overall rating 10 of 10rating details
Pros: "Fun, Reliable, the Quattro is a tank in the snow!!"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"Bought it with 100,000 miles. Have had to replace worn out parts, nothing more than what should be. Parts do wear out. I have a mechanic who has been an Audi mechanic for many years. Much more affordable and better work than a dealership. Would I buy another? ABSOLUTELY!!!! I love this car!! I have owned a lot of cars, this one by far has been the most fun!! It is a German Car. Imports are always more to fix. But they ARE worth it!!"

Pros: "Car is fantastic ride and great in snow."
Cons: "bad location of cup holders, expensive to maintain"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 6
"I enjoy the 2003 A4 Quattro AWD with 110K miles, car driving & the style. I am fortunate that my husband can & does perform most of the maintenance. We only have one local mechanic that can work on this car. We have replaced (great mechanic in Uniontown) the timing belt, mufflers (dual), exhaust system, & radio. The CD & cassette work great, great Bose speakers & sound BUT the radio is awful due to a factory antenna flaw! We found a site on-line with others having the same issue of the antenna breaking/cracking which is located in the rear overhead panel. A simple fix of using the large paperclips to secure the pieces together. We live in the rural mountains & don't get the best reception. In town, the radio works well. I also dislike the location of the cup holders on the dash and at the center elbow area. The glove box "door" broke but still latches. The beautiful wood interior is cracked but still looks very rich & nice. The lighted controls are going out and the service light will not stay off. Mechanic said too many "little" things going on. Love the heated leather seats that still look great & work well. The individual comfort controls for heat/ac & seat temps are a real luxury."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 110,000overall rating 2 of 10rating details
Pros: "Great car before 50,000 miles"
Cons: "Ridiculous to maintain long-term, not a keeper"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 2
"I love the look of the car and driving it is a pleasure. The first 50,000 miles the car was reliable although the turning and braking lights would constantly fail. You would replace one and a day later another would fail. Once it got past the 50,000 mile warranty, a major (costly) repair would occur every 6 months or so. Oil leaks, coolant leaks, power steering leaks - all requiring $1,000+ to fix. Even started going to a "cheaper" mechanic who specialized in VW/Audi (that should tell you something). Finally, just got rid of it. Not reliable at all!"

"We started having problems with this car before it came out of warranty, there were nonstop coolant problems, continuously for years. We poured 15-20k into this car, it was a nightmare. The clutch was replaced, timing belt replaced three times, twice within one week (mechanic….a nightmare too, put it in incorrectly….blamed the manufacturers, but it was he who put it in incorrectly, we believed). Brakes lights hugely expensive to replace. Catalytic converter problems. Tons of other issues. NEVER NEVER buy an audi unless you want to be plaqued with huge bills and if you wish to keep your sanity intact. Every time we put a couple of thousand into the beast, we hope that it would start paying for itself, it never panned out. Pluses about it - it is fantastic in the snow. Now at 184k miles and a hellish time of repair costs it is running smoothly (something I am afraid to say in case the timing belt goes again). Audi dealership….less than honest, less than helpful, we had a horrific experience with them.""
