Pros: "Fun to drive, comfy seats, and pretty interior."

Cons: "Expensive to maintain, issues at low miles"

"I was so excited to buy my first car a 2008 audi a4 s-line package for 19000k that had 50000k miles on it. I should've did my research on how exspensive it is to maintain. The engine light came on as soon as i got it, the brakes are already bad, oil pan leaks, and as for interior The passenger seat is manual, the cup holders are in a dumb spot because of middle compartment. No aux cord and no automatic head lightseven tho a 08 and back seat panels fell off on both seats... I love the inside how it looks tho and I think its comfy and big back seat for a small car. Maybe if it wasn't so expensive to keep up I wouldn't mind it but gas, oil change, tires... To much.."

Pros: "Good looks and performance. Fun to drive"

Cons: "Terrible reliability and cost to own."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1

"This is a great second car to toy around with - if you have money to burn. It's a lot of fun to drive and is really comfortable on longer drives. The AWD system is beyond outstanding in the snow. However, the 2005 - 2008 A4 has a group of known issues and most are not inexpensive fixes. They are potentially destructive things if they fail, too. Fuel pump cam follower, oil pump, vacuum pump, coolant flange, PCV (at least 6x the cost of a normal rattle-valve PCV), torque converter, timing chain adjuster, A/C, trunk latch, turbo diverter valve...and that's off the top of my head. Maybe you'll get lucky. I hope so. But if it were me, and it was, buy with a complete extended warranty, or run, as fast as you can, in the other direction. It's worth noting that my car had a complete dealer service record. I still have, or have had, every problem I listed except for the oil pump and A/C."

Pros: "Excellent value at $6,200; Kelly BB says $7,200"

Cons: "single CD player."

"Kelly Blue Book has this car in the $7,200 range. The car is beautiful silver, Platinum leather interior, always garaged, washed and serviced regularly. Doesn't use oil. Very comfortable car, easy to drive and control; have never felt nervous, concerned about weight, size, power. I give it a 9/10 rating, only because of age. Love the heated seats in winter.Power sunroof does both tilt and slide. We have it listed for $1,000 below Kelly Very Good Condition car because we have another Audi (Allroad)."

"After purchasing a pre-certified Audi A4 with 19K miles on it, I had a very bad experience with it. every year it goes to mechanic shed twice or thrice besides regular maintenance schedule. In my experience audi do not focus on engine parts and its reliability. I took very good care of it by driving it politely and having comprehensive service. It is such a pain to me to own an AUDI without realizing it involves huge maintenance cost after exceeding mileage of 40K. If I had to count normal wear & tear, I believe every part of my car engine is happily eligible to be replaced with in 100k mileage range. That much reliability I get form my Audi. With that money I would own couple of new cars. I would say my car spent more time in service station than on road."

Pros: "roomy for its size. (I'm 6'5 )"

Cons: "everything else"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1

"Back in August of 2015 my grandfather financed for me, my very first car. we received from a private seller and the 2005 audi a4 was in seemingly PERFECT condition. no scratches, dents, only 65,000 m , clean inside, the perfect deal right?? NO. at first the car was flawless and does have its pros. but then one by one things went wrong. over the course of a year these problems have occurred: The pass.seat is stuck laid back and wont move, the rear pass window broke, the car leaked and flooded , transmission problems, it over heated, jumped back and forth when accelerating from a stop, it didn't start in the morning, it had problems with the A/C AND defrost over 4 different times. the cv joint on the drivers side failed and as of the present the cv joint AXLE Came undone and the car no longer moves, It had a Freon, coolant and oil leak, pieces here and there began to come apart. I.e: Grill parts, the audi symbol on the engine, pieces of the cabin such as plastic coverings and a broken glove box. this car is nothing but a mess. I took care of the car as best as I could but unless you have a REALLY good mechanic, Id think about getting a different convertible."
