"I have owned this car for 7 years and 90k plus miles, and I can honestly say whatever I own as my next vehicle is going to have a tough time equaling up to the experience I had with my 06' RSX. Keep in mind this is almost a 10 year old car as I post this review, and I still have people give me the thumbs up when out on the road. In the time I have owned the car all I have had to replace is brakes, rotors, and the battery which is testament to Acura's fantastic build quality. If you are looking for a daily driver that is good looking, rock solid, efficient, and FUN this is the car for you!"
Cons: "bad seats, expensive to upkeep, expensive parts"

"I currently own this car and have only had it for about 4 months. I bought the car from my Dad and he was the only previous owner.
The good: amazing handling, great suspension (for racing, NOT DAILY DRIVING), and overall a beautiful car, it really looks like an import and the paint has held up surprisingly well.
The bad: Many repairs. It does have a lot of miles, but I had a civic with the same amount of miles and not even half of the same problems that I have with this "luxury" honda. Within the short time I've had it, it has required a new power steering hose ($350), an upstream O2 sensor ($360), a new clutch ($2200 through dealership), and $250 bucks in other various repairs. Sadly, this car is still not up to parr. I also changed the transmission fluid in an attempt to save 2nd gear. These cars have a common gear issue and most need to be synched again. I haven't even looked into how much that is. It also, like most RSXs, has seats that have completely deteriorated. New seat covers (just for the front) are $3800. That's actually more than the car is worth. Another common issue is oil consumption. I add oil to this car all the time because it just burns right through it. I'm a huge Honda fan, but this car has really let me down in terms of reliability and especially value. It's hard to understand how every part can cost over $300 and after this, I don't see me ever purchasing another Acura again. I will get a Civic Si next time."
Pros: "Outstanding Value Retainer, Fun, Light on feet!"
Cons: "Transmission, particularly 3rd gear is bad design"

"I have had many many cars in my lifetime... Chevy Camaro Z28's with LS1's in them, TransAm's etc. They were truly fun cars (ones that you shouldn't depend on in the snow and ice, but nonetheless they were fun) and let me tell you... the Acura RSX type S (I bought brand new) would have given all of them a run for their money! Speaking of money... its value RUNS CIRCLES around ANY American or German car. Explain to me how a BMW 328i a year newer with less miles was offered 3,000$ LESS than I was on a trade in? And the BMW started at nearly DOUBLE the retail price the Acura did! Unbelievable!"
"I bought this car in 2003 and still own it. I love it and I am constantly telling people that I will forever be an Acura lover. This car has been the best car that I have ever own. I have not had any problems with it until January 2015 when I had to replace the starter; other than that I have had no problems, ever. I still get complements on this car all the time. I do not see very many of them on the road these days but then when I bought this one I did not see many of them. I am waiting for Acura to make another RSX 'cause I know I can't keep this forever...or who knows maybe I can. My son drove my car the other day and said I can not believe how good this car rides...and he restores cars all the time. I love love my ACURA!!"
Pros: "driver friendly in performance and styling"
Cons: "Feel the bumps especially at low speed"

"I bought my 2004 RSX base (manual) only 3.5 months ago with just 16,930 miles on it from an elderly woman friend who kept it garaged and drove it only a bit each month. Couldn't believe my luck. The owner had all the service records; no problems, just regular oil changes, a new battery and one tire rotation.
It's a blast to drive. I'm 56 and have owned a lot of nice cars; this is already my favorite, by far. I like to drive, and this is a driver's car. Steering is responsive and quite good for FWD. Acceleration is excellent, especially from a roll. Shifting gears is smooth. The interior is driver-centric; the dash and seat et al just wrap around me.
The CD player did stop playing a month ago - but that was an opportunity as I put in a nice double-din CD receiver, 4 volt, Bluetooth and HD radio that allowed me to set color to red to match the dash at night. Sounds fantastic on the stock speakers, and I'm an audiophile of sorts. Made me love this car even more.
My biggest surprise was on a drive from Atlanta to Chicago. It's rated 31 MPG Highway; I got 33 on the trip and I'm not a sedate driver.
I took it to the local Acura dealer for the first oil change and the guy there recognized it at once and couldn't believe I'd bought the car; said he knew people who'd kill to get an RSX with that mileage and wish he knew it was for sale.
Plan on having this car for many years to come; that is, a lot of fun driving to come."
