Pros: "economical to purchase and fun to throw at corners"

Cons: "Expensive to maintain as it ages"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7

"Built on a Honda Civic Chassis, but with so many suspension alterations that it has a totally different, and far more athletic character. Although it weighs no more than a Civic, it feels far more substantial. Cornering and handling are this car's highlights. It's engaging, lively, with a firm but not punishing ride. And the suspension holds up - mine is still tighter and better cornering than many brand new cars, and all parts are original! But, it is still under all that, a Civic. The engine has been bumped to 140HP, and that's all it should have. Torque steer is problematic, when you accelerate, you need to hang on to the wheel. On the "how did they get this so wrong" side of things, why is storage so absent? The Civic's glovebox is twice as large. The door pockets are useful on the Civic, but not on the Teg. You can't even fit the owner's manual in the glovebox. The handy back-of-seat map pockets from the Civic are gone. Body integrity is awful. Since it hit 12 years old, there's been yet another body seam crack, letting water into the cabin or truck. I've put more time into body seam cracks then any other aspect of the car. Parts cost for unique items is absurd. Driver's side electric window went out, apparently common. $1200 in parts alone. After 13-14 years, the headlight lenses were fogged over and cracking - about average in age. $600 per side for parts alone! Not to mention our local dealership charges 25% over list for parts! Fuel economy is surprisingly poor. The car is quick but not powerful, so 25MPG seems a bit silly."

"If my '99 Acura Integra wasn't so old, I would not get rid of it. Even considering it's age, I'm still torn about getting rid of it. The hatchback allows the seats to fold down and I can fit anything my mom's Lexus SUV fits in her trunk, into my Integra. It drives exceptionally well (it's so fast!), corners well, and is overall fun to drive. It's been a little too smooth over the years (I blame the car for how fast I was going when I got alllll those speeding tickets) and I didn't even know I was speeding half the time. The best part is the only thing I have EVER (in 15 years) had to do is regular maintenance. NEVER has it needed anything that wasn't "its time". It is hard to sell this car because I hear the horror stories of how "lemon-like" other cars are, and this is truly a wonderful car. If I could give it 11s, I would. If you are thinking about buying this car--it's fantastic. :)"

Pros: "Short Wheel Base = Excellent Cornering"

Cons: "Didn't come with more horsepower(upgrade to B20!)"

"One of my most favorite cars for the price/value ratio. It's hard to beat Honda's quality manufacturing and their interchangeability of parts between specific series of cars."

Pros: "cheap parts, fast, handling, simple interior"

Cons: "burn oil around 200k and require some tlc"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Bought my integra at 16 yrs old, now I am 18 and have redone the susupension, engine, and clutch for about $2500 total using hi-performance forged and billet racing parts. The car has really come back to life and I see hitting 350,000 with this thing no problem. buy low mileage if you are not mechanically inclined or get a good rebuilt one and you will love it! take car of this car and it'll take care of you. nothing bad to say about it at all, FYI my friend turbocharged his integra for about $6000 and he beat $100,000+ cars at the track, buy this car if you love speed and handling!"

"I bought this car a few months ago and I love it. I have always had new fast cars but just became behind on everything due to job change. so I didn't have much to spend a car. but I am very happy with this car and it handles like glue. its an amazing cheap sporty car."

Pros: "fun to drive, good MPG, good acceleration"

Cons: "not a lot of head room if you are over 6' tall."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"This vehicle is one of the best (ok, the best) one I have ever owned. It hugs the road better than any other car I've ever driven. It begs to be thrown into a curve, and never disappoints with its ability to pull through. Acceleration is impressive and gas mileage is impressive for a 14 year old car (about 30 mpg average)."
